About Me

My Background

When I was in preschool, my favorite time of day was art center. I used the easel painting colorful flowers and skies. My grandmother taught me how to paint at age six. As I grew older, this love never faded and eventually I went to college to study art. I have a BA in Studio Art from Limestone College. My first solo show was in 1989 (age 16) at Cleveland Community College. If you are looking for original paintings or wall art for your home or business, your search is over.

My Mediums

I use many different mediums, such as clay, acrylics, and oils. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. My artistic influences are JMW Turner,  Peter Max, Carravaggio and Georgia O'Keeffe. Augusta Savage is my inspiration in the sculptural world.

My Inspiration

I enjoy listening to music in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by artists such as: Chopin, ZZ Ward, Acoustic Syndicate, Pink Floyd, Mozart, Iron Maiden, Chris Knight, Eva Cassidy, and Counting Crows. The lyrics from their songs inspire the movement and colors in my work.
